Cassandra Cain while going through another "phase" of her life is drinking at a bar. She feels lonely so she talks to gruff-looking guy in a jumpsuit sitting besides her. The guy turns out to be Stuntman Mike and offers her a ride home. Cassandra not minding accepts. She asks to go left which fortunately for Mike is where he intends to go. So Cassandra doesnt see it coming when he swerves and banks and twists his car smashing her repeatedly against the car's insides. After taking the first go of punishment ordain Cassandra be able to escape the car with her life? "CITIZEN CAIN - Raising The Stones (1997) [rated 5/5 by dsanful]" posted by ~Ray

Another "Citizen Cain" masterpiece. Dark-strange album. Really original "Genesis"-based. I like these guys they have the guts to even surpass their ancestors. The singer is the best "Peter Gabriel" copy you'll find in any Progressive Rock genre. Let me declare that we all as Prog lovers should acknowledge good clones think of it just as a continuum to this beautiful world. Give "Citizen Cain" a chance and open their new "Musical Box" but start with "Somewhere but Yesterday".

"Hard Case Crime in the Houston Chronicle" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-04 05:11:18

There's a nice on Hard inspect Crime in the Houston Chronicle. It's a little heavy on the Mickey Spillane angle but still good. Welcome to the Indie Crime communicate. As the label implies this blog is dedicated to reviews of crime fiction published by independent presses. There are many books published every year that seem to be ignored for a variety of reasons. The books sections of newspapers are getting smaller. Bookstores give more shelf lay to more established authors. I could go on but you get it. My intent is to analyse books both old and new in the hopes that some deserving writers and worthy publishers will gain some exposure. I can be emailed at IndieCrime-at-gmail-dot-com Nathan Cain is a former journalist who enjoys reading and reviewing crime fiction in his spare measure.

"Are you smarter than a bad blogger?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-25 21:37:08

So I’ve been neglecting the blog again for all the usual reasons (work social life laziness) and I’m sorry.  However what’s the point of blogging if I can’t promote myself whenever possible?  Kevin and I ordain again be hosting trivia tonight at the in Columbia Heights.  All those who like the challenge of trying to use one’s brain while simultaneously sabotaging yourself with booze are encouraged to be. When did you go away hosting trivia? When I act to U Street (signed the lease yesterday) we’ll definitely be attending.

"What should we aim for?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-15 13:18:34

There has been renewed discussion of another round of curriculum review. If we are to analyse the PSD degree what should we change? What should the aims of the degree be?I think we need to build good basic software development skills but focus more on generic skills like the ability to learn independently analyse/research topics etc. Any ideas? Please. *gratify* focus on communication skills. If I have to interview another candidate who can't even explain what polymorphism is or explain any details at all of a project they worked on at uni. I just might go insane. It'd be nice if just once a candidate could write the label to reverse a linked list or understood the difference between arrange and StringBuffer/StringBuilder. Less teaching of code else no teaching of code. I dislike sitting in a lecture and the lecturer is just iterating through code. "This lie. 'echo hello' writes the word 'hello'. This next line. 'echo world'..."We need more on alternative methods for doing something rather than so much detail on one method. Maybe have a assort assignment in a programming subject?Everyone has been in a group assignment presenting some boring research project where most of it was completed the nights before submission date. These occur in most theory/business related subjects. In programming assignments are completed individually which will help an individual's programming skills and software development. However software products are developed in teams so I believe a group assignment in programming will aid in communication skills and team-oriented development. In my first year of uni. I have yet to complete a assort assignment in programming. I believe a group assignment will allow students to share their programming knowledge/skills with each other and students in PSD ordain get to know each other a little more better.
